Well, I learn more about you all the time, just when I thought I knew ya. I know of your prowess as a fisherman, because I have seen it. I know of your skills and patience as a teacher and mentor because I have been the grateful beneficiary of your tutoring. I know of your skills as and outdoorsman and would trust my life in your hands in any survival situation. I know of your skills as a canoeist (and sadly you know of mine as well…enough said). I knew of your skill as a cyclist, although I have had to rely on the reports I have heard because there is no freakin’ way I could keep up. I knew of your mastery in your profession, as I have observed you grow and succeed. I have heard some before your tale of Mt. Washington, although this was much more detail than I knew before and didn’t realize how much more there was to learn. What I learned today was what a masterful writer you are and how enjoyable it was to read your prose. WELL DONE BUDDY! As is usually the case with things you attempt, you excel!

Joel-
The last couple of weeks have been monumental for both John and me. It’s a new page in our lives-exciting, yet always unpredictable. Reading this was a perfect reminder of what life is all about. All we can do is experience, enjoy and keep on learning. I have a feeling I’ll be looking at this post often. It’s got humor, wisdom and plenty of soul! Thank you!
