1 a celebration of the adventurer in all of us; 2 discovery of the lost art of solitude; 3 to pry oneself from the easy chair and move one step out of our comfort zone; 4 traveling alone exploring the unknown for at least two nights away from home preferably via foot or a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

I don't know if I've ever enjoyed a post about a trip that someone *didn't* take so much. I have an area on my site called Mondays are for Dreaming; this post is exactly the kind of dreaming I like to do.

How wants to go to Spain anyway. I have a friend from Morocco, and he lives in Cedar Rapids, IA. Enough said. I think the siren song of the Lower Illinois is calling your names. Think about it. Peaceful fly fishing on a world renowned trout stream. Romantic stream-side lunch with the possibility of a fresh, pecan crusted, pan fried "wild" trout. Mmm mmm. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Congratulation on your story in the paper!! And so sorry to hear about the cancel trip. Sometimes we just have to make a hard choice.

But those pictures are sure lovely and make me want to dream along with you. Also I'm looking forward to hearing from you about what you learn on cancellation. I have never done it before but it will be useful to know in this kind of uncertainty.
